The subject of death can be harrowing, mystifying, and even liberating - but it isn’t often discussed. This is your chance to gather in a soft setting and explore life’s greatest mystery with plates of cake in hand. 

Death Cafes were founded by Jon Underwood in 2010 to normalize difficult conversations by gathering strangers and serving them sweets. The movement grew and tens of thousands of Death Cafes have taken place globally as folks try to untangle what comes next, and the complicated feelings that come with it.

Steph Gillette (@HeirloomNewEngland), a former Mount Auburn Cemetery employee who has run successful Death Cafes and end-of-life programming, will gently lead us into conversation and provide resources for folks who want to learn more. Come with an open mind and your heart on your sleeve!
